I am a person who likes to write more than I like to talk. I do not write much but I like it. Talking is another kettle of fish.

I imagine someone telling me they enjoyed our little talk though I never spoke a word. Maybe I smiled, grunted, nodded my head, and encouraged them in other non-verbal ways, but I never said anything. I listened.

This website, though, is about me talking to you. I want to tell you what I know and what I am thinking about. I want to explore and share ideas with you. I will give you an opportunity to know me because, as I said, I do not talk a lot.

A section of the site is dedicated to computer programming. I am a consultant and I should communicate with those who would hire me. I should also tell them what I know.

I like sharing knowledge, breaking down complex subjects and presenting them in a way that makes them easy to understand and retain. Maybe I do not fully understand these subjects myself until I do this, or perhaps I should have been a teacher. I actually wanted to teach but I did not think those guys made any money.

But there are other things in life besides what we do at work. We each have our hobbies or whatever we call them -- areas of interest. One person likes mountain biking. Another likes to grow flowers. To some, the WWF is about the wildlife fund while others think it has something to do with wrestling. Whatever. Just be aware that I intend to explore my areas of interest without apology because I have discovered that I rarely know what I really believe about something until I write it down.
